Can you prevent hemroids during pregnancy?
I have been reading alot about pregnancy and it says it is commen for women to get hemroids during pregnancy or even birth.... This scares me and I defenitly don't want to get them.. is there anything i can do to help prevent them just incase im not one of the lucky ones that don't get them??????

This may sound gross, but during pregnancy, dont sit a lot on your butt, or when youre takin a poo, dont push too hard, or even not hard for too long, but dont be scared so much that you dotn poop cuz thatll really screw you up. I didnt get hemorrhoids until birth because i tried to deliver vaginally and i physically cant. All they are is blood vessels like when people get varicose veins in their legs. Its that but in your bum. Drink lots of water and if you do get them, get lots of tucks pads. They go away eventually.

Diarrhea, Stomach Pain, Bloody TP. help!?
Okay, So ive had tons of digestive issues. Had gallbladder removed, ulcers. Stomach pains in the past two weeks have started.. I never feel hungry usually always feel full even if I hadnt eaten in hours. Usually when i eat my food goes right through me.. It comes out as very very loose diarrhea almost watery. When I looked at the toilet paper there was quite a bit of blood and it was bright red. Im worried cause hemroids(sp?) are cause by constipation? or pushing to hard? So it makes me think it could be something other than a hemroid(sp?) I have an appt set up just kinda want to know what I could expect! Helppp. female; 18. 115lbs.

looking for a stool softener that DOES NOT have laxative in it. Do you know of one? I am having either an anal fissure or hemroid problem. Bleeding with each bowel movement and of course sore anus.

Colace is a good stool softener, and there are generic brands available with the same active ingredient for less than half the cost of the name brand. This is the stool softener that the doctor recommended for my mom. You might also use one of the fiber laxatives like metamucil. It isn't a chemical laxative, just adds fiber to your diet which absorbs water and creates much softer stools. It also comes in a pill form now if you don't like the taste or texture of the drinks.

Hemorrhoids? Little confused.?
So apparently I might have a hemorrhoid. Confusing part is I've had it sense I was a little kid. Never hurts, never bleeds, never had any problems with it. Thought everyone's *** hole had it. As I got older I came across; more often, porn like pictures. Turns out not every one has that. My mom said it's a hemorrhoid, But I read up on it and none of which matches up with me. I don't have chronic constipation or diarrhea, I'm not fat and eat healthy, not pregnant, the only thing that does make sense is that since I was a kid I loved sitting in the bathroom on the can for hours. I just enjoy the privacy. So Is that whats doing it? If so, how do I get ride of it, am I going to die or will it get worse? I want it to go away with out seeing a doctor.

Are you familiar with Kegel exercises? They will help reduce the size of the hemorrhoid. If it doesn't itch, hurt to go to the bathroom, or bleed, the hemorrhoid is harmless. If it starts to itch, try a suppository (like Preparation H). You are probably correct that your toileting habits as a child contributed to it. But the Kegel exercises (link listed below) will really help.

Bowel complications after my C section?
It is day 5 after my surgery.. and have had a horible day with my stomach and trying to have a bowel movement. I think I have some sort of hemroid , because it is very painful and bled a bit .. now I am having pain in my lower left side near the incision.. it is tender and sore but has not gotten really worse.. any thoughts? I dont know if I should call doc on this late sunday night.

My sympathies. The GI tract is usually messed up after abdominal surgery, even if it wasn't involved. You may have developed a hemorrhoid during the pregnancy, being currently irritated by matters. Ideally you would have been given stool softener to go home with, to ease matters until you healed a bit more. If you don't have them, then you should get some, Ducolox is sold over the counter and works quite well. For immediate relief of matters, you can use either the Tucks pads, or a cotton pad with witch hazel, patted right on the tush where it hurts. If you keep them in the fridge, it does wonders to put out the fire. Baby wipes are your best bet for personal cleaning, softer that dry paper and easier on the personality. The incision site sou

This is so embarrassing but all day I've been feeling as though something was biting my bum! I had a look in the mirror and have Exactly what looks like a hemorrhoid. Haha! I'm only 22... I've looked on the Boots website and there is stuff called Anusol, it says it relieves itchiess, pain, swelling etc but will this actually get rid of it? Do I need to go to a doctor? Hiya, Going through the same myself but mine is due to pregnancy. Unfortunatley I have just learnt that those creams made for them don't get rid of them just stop the itching/bleeding/swelling and help relieve the pain from them. However I made a rutine my self and made my own cream and this seems to be reducing the size and feels so refreshed if nothing else. Since I was a child I get blood on the toilet paper after wiping 5 or so times in a row. Is this hemroids?
I always assumed this was just from vigorous wiping and that everyone gets this on those unfortunate occasions that you need to wipe more than 5 or so time on one occasion or have several bowel movements in a day. It hurts when I am wiping and for the next few minutes and on occasion as long as an hour or so on worse days. The pain is more of an annoyance than a real problem. Is it normal to have this tissue paper-sort of irritation or is this actually hemroids?

I can't believe it, but I'm going to quote Howard Stern from his book Private Parts where he talks about his problems with anal fissures. Here are his rules for a healthier rectum: "I used to overwipe. I would scrape and strain. But you must only take three swipes and that's it. Oh, and stay away from dyed toilet paper. Use white and you'll be all right. If you feel dirty down there, jump in a shower and scrub down. But stick to the three-wipe maximum. "Also never push. Sometimes when i go #2, I see a little bit of blood. I sometimes see it in my stool, but not enough that I was worried.Then, when I went last night, a lot more came out than usual. When I looked up my symptoms on the internet, it said I might have hemorrhoids. Don't only old people get that? Should I go to my doctor or wait a bit? Do I even have hemorrhoids?!?!?? Anusol HC for Symptoms Of Hemorrhoids, please help?
Hi, my GP given me this medication as he thinks I may be displaying symptoms of hemorrhoids. The problem is, the pain went away when he'd given me them so I didn't bother taking them. Two months later I still have the medication but I have a few questions; 1) It says on drug sites to not take them if you have a rectal obstruction, abscess, or perforation; irritation of the peritoneum (lining of the abdomen); or fistulas. My symptoms suggest hemorrhoids or abscess, my GP isn't sure. He given me the medication knowing that I may have a symptom that restricts me from taking this medication. 2) Does it hurt taking them? They're so huge... 3) Best way too take them? 4) It was a while ago, how often do I take them? I think it's once a day for 12 days but I'm not 100%. 5) I also had a night out last night drinking Algol with friends, would this disturb me in any way? Thanks guys, I really appreciate your help. I heard some people say they never knew they had hemroids. Then I heard stories of people who said it hurt to sit down or poop. You could try and applying some over the counter medicine before you go to bed at night if the itch still there. "Desitin", creamy, zinc oxide diaper rash ointment, dypoallergenic. #1 choice of pediatricians and mothers. If it's good enough for babies, it should be good enough for you.
