Hemorrhoids Surgery Safe At All?

Hemorrhoids are some of the most embarrassing ailments any particular person can go through, as men and women seldom talk about them, let alone deal with them.

Continuous Pain After Hemorrhoids Surgery?

William asks…

I had a laser hemorrhoids surgery to remove external haemorroids two years ago. After this surgery I have been experienced pain and burning sensation in the rectum area. I did a recto-scopy two times and the doctors said my surgery is ok and every thing looks normal. My doctor prescribed tramadol and anafranil tablets for 1 month, the pain was relieved temporary, but as soon as I stopped taking them, the pain returned again. I need your help!

Treating External Hemorrhoids Q&a

Laura asks…

Treating External Hemorrhoid?

I have had an external hemorrhoid for a really long time now. I suffered with constipation for ages too but recently discovered it was simply due to not drinking enough! Now that i have been drinking a lot more i have little trouble at all. However oddly since i have stopped having to strain to go, the hemorrhoid i have has become a little "achey" is i press it. (i don't remember it ever hurting in the past which was why i never worried about it.) Is there any thing i can try to get rid of it before thinking about seeing a doctor?

admin answers:

There are several things that you can still do on your own. First is that you should avoid straining. Keep your stool soft by eating the proper diet. There are also ways to reduce the swelling and the itching, such as ice packs, sitz baths, and keeping the area clean. Homeopathic remedies may recommend the use of certain herbs but these are proven effective against hemorrhoids conditions, even bleeding hemorrhoids. Herbs such as witch hazel, Goldenrod, gotu kola, ginkgo, St. John's Wort, and Roman chamomile are said to work effectively. There are also exercises that can ease it. If all else fails, consult

Hemroids Bleeding Q&a

Betty asks…

What can you do for bleeding hemroids?

admin answers:

Sit in a tub of warm Epsom Salts water for starters to help shrink them. You need to change your eating habits. Sounds like you are eating mostly junk food & starchy foods & no green vegetables. You need to get more fiber into your system. Eat plenty of green, leafy vegetables. Drink plenty of water to help keep the traffic flowing. Eat lots of boiled or steamed vegetables. Snack on raw celery sticks, carrot sticks, banana's & grapes. Slack off the potatoes, rice, pasta, junk food, fast food restaurant food, sweet soda's. When you have a BM, don't rush it - let it move naturally - DO NOT STRAIN - that makes the hemrhoids pop out. You can soothe the area with Vaseline and/or Preparation H.

Hemroids Q&a

Paul asks…

Would i know if i had hemroids?

I know thats not how you spell it. But like would i feel it? Pain or anything like that? Do you think i have them? I have blood in stool and thats it really. Ive looked up symptoms and i only have that one. It doesnt hurt during [bathroom time] but theres like one sharp pain at like one point during the time. Is that the pain?

admin answers:

Yes, you would know. You would have pain when you poop and often bright red blood when you wipe your bottom afterwords. Trust me, if you have hemorrhoids you know they are there! Yes, it sounds like that is what you have. You'll have a quick, sharp pain as it tears and then you will bleed, not much, but a little. The blood will be bright red on the tp and stool surface. If it is purple or very dark red this could be a sign of internal bleeding. I would check with your doctor to be sure. Also, you can try using hemorrhoid wipes to dull the pain. You can get these over the counter at local drug stores.

Hemroids Q&a

Linda asks…

is there any way to get rid of hemroids?

i know that most pregnant women get them during delivery, but is there anyway to make them go away for good?

admin answers:

They dont go away forever unless you have them removed. I never had them until I had my son. You can use the prep h suppository as well as the cooling gel which makes it feel good and they have wipes that will help a lot. Keep the area clean when they flare up and use a stool softner so when you use the bathroom it wont hurt so bad and make it worse. Eventually they will skrink and go away but sometimes will flare up at times..

Chris asks…

When does your hemroids go away?

Hemroids Q&a

Mandy asks…

how close is hemroids to cancer ?

please, i need someone who understands this to tell me how they are related. i mean, if i have hemroids, does it mean i have cancer ?? and is having hemroids something that is really bad? or is it easy to treat? am talkin about once you know you have it. nothing severe ...

admin answers:

Actually, there is a difference between internal and external hemroids.. Externally you will see blood on tissue paper when you wipe after straining to have a bowel movement. Internal hemorids wont usually have bright red blood. Anytime you have blood in the stool you need to be seen by your doctor to make sure all is well. Colon cancer is very common sadly. Not trying to scare you, just urging you to be seen. If you have been seen and diagnosed, then no, have no worries, its not cancer at all, just engorged blood vessels. Try to take stool softners until they clear up so that you dont strain as hard :)

Hemroids Q&a

David asks…

Can you prevent hemroids during pregnancy?

I have been reading alot about pregnancy and it says it is commen for women to get hemroids during pregnancy or even birth.... This scares me and I defenitly don't want to get them.. is there anything i can do to help prevent them just incase im not one of the lucky ones that don't get them??????

admin answers:

This may sound gross, but during pregnancy, dont sit a lot on your butt, or when youre takin a poo, dont push too hard, or even not hard for too long, but dont be scared so much that you dotn poop cuz thatll really screw you up. I didnt get hemorrhoids until birth because i tried to deliver vaginally and i physically cant. All they are is blood vessels like when people get varicose veins in their legs. Its that but in your bum. Drink lots of water and if you do get them, get lots of tucks pads. They go away eventually.

Hemroid Bleeding Q&a

Carol asks…

what kind of stool softner?

looking for a stool softener that DOES NOT have laxative in it. Do you know of one? I am having either an anal fissure or hemroid problem. Bleeding with each bowel movement and of course sore anus.

admin answers:

Colace is a good stool softener, and there are generic brands available with the same active ingredient for less than half the cost of the name brand. This is the stool softener that the doctor recommended for my mom. You might also use one of the fiber laxatives like metamucil. It isn't a chemical laxative, just adds fiber to your diet which absorbs water and creates much softer stools. It also comes in a pill form now if you don't like the taste or texture of the drinks.

admin answers:

Haemorroids are dilated rectal veins, a bit like varicose veins. They can be internal or external. They can cause pain and bleeding when using your bowels. Childbirth and straining are the major causes. If they are particularly large they can be removed but many people live with haemorroids with no real problems.
