Hemroids Q&a

Mandy asks…

how close is hemroids to cancer ?

please, i need someone who understands this to tell me how they are related. i mean, if i have hemroids, does it mean i have cancer ?? and is having hemroids something that is really bad? or is it easy to treat? am talkin about once you know you have it. nothing severe ...

Actually, there is a difference between internal and external hemroids.. Externally you will see blood on tissue paper when you wipe after straining to have a bowel movement. Internal hemorids wont usually have bright red blood. Anytime you have blood in the stool you need to be seen by your doctor to make sure all is well. Colon cancer is very common sadly. Not trying to scare you, just urging you to be seen. If you have been seen and diagnosed, then no, have no worries, its not cancer at all, just engorged blood vessels. Try to take stool softners until they clear up so that you dont strain as hard :)
