What's Piles

In basic terms, hemorrhoids are stretched and swollen veins, which are in a tangle in the intestinal mucosa before the anus.

Hemorrhoids can also bulge through the anus (prolapsed hemorrhoids). After a few days to weeks hemorrhoids usually disappear spontaneously.
Symptoms of Hemorrhoids
Possible symptoms of hemroids are, inter alia:

- Bulges through the anus
- Itching, irritation or burning
- Pain (especially when rubbed)
- Blood loss (small amount of 'fresh' blood in the stool or on toilet paper, toilet water colored red , which is usually the first symptom)
- Anemia (anemia)
- Inflammation of the skin (dermatitis) around the anus
- Blood Clots
- Sagging of the piles through the anus (this gives an annoying tickling)
