Treating External Hemorrhoid?

I have had an external hemorrhoid for a really long time now. I suffered with constipation for ages too but recently discovered it was simply due to not drinking enough! Now that i have been drinking a lot more i have little trouble at all. However oddly since i have stopped having to strain to go, the hemorrhoid i have has become a little "achey" is i press it. (i don't remember it ever hurting in the past which was why i never worried about it.) Is there any thing i can try to get rid of it before thinking about seeing a doctor?

There are several things that you can still do on your own. First is that you should avoid straining. Keep your stool soft by eating the proper diet. There are also ways to reduce the swelling and the itching, such as ice packs, sitz baths, and keeping the area clean. Homeopathic remedies may recommend the use of certain herbs but these are proven effective against hemorrhoids conditions, even bleeding hemorrhoids.
